Named after the Girl Scout founder who suffered from hearing loss at a young age, Juliette Low camp is specifically designed for girls with special needs and their friends. Girls, ages 8-18 who have physical disabilities such as polio, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, etc, may attend. A well-qualified staff of adults, trained and experienced in working with girls with disabilities, provide the very best camping opportunity for each girl.

In small groups, girls with their counselors, plan their own program, including swimming, campfires, singing, games, square dancing, crafts, hikes, etc. Activities are adapted to fit each girl's abilities.

Juliette Low Camp is located at Lake Jacomo in eastern Kansas City, Missouri, and is co-sponsored by Rotary Club #13. The 40-acre site includes sleeping cabins, zero-entry swimming pool (wheelchair accessible), dining hall, central showers and latrines, health center and administrative building. All buildings are within walking distance for every camper.

To help staff Juliette Low Camp, thirty-six Girl Scouts from around the country serve as camp counselors. These "campettes" are girls 16-18 years of age who are interested in careers related to working with people with physical disabilities.
