New Leaders
As a new leader, you may be asking yourself, "With so much we want to do and so little time, how do I prioritize?" The answer of course, lies with the girls, but here are some important dates and activities to put on the troop calendar for the month of September.

Training -

Parent Meeting -

Whether you are a first time leader or returning with your troop for a new year of fun, friendship and learning, don't forget to involve the parents. Plan a parents meeting to inform them about upcoming events and how they can get involved in troop activities. Download a sample parent meeting script below.

Investiture/Rededication -

Ceremony is such an important part of Girl Scouting. Help the girls in your troop plan and carry out an investiture/rededication ceremony to get the year off to a great start. Remember, girl planning is an integral part of the girl scouting experience, and even Daisies can make decisions about refreshments, invitation and the ceremony. For more ceremony ideas, contact the council office and ask for a copy of "Super Ceremonies".
