Camp
Prairie
Schooner

Located between Lee’s Summit and Independence, MO, Camp Prairie Schooner sits high on the bluffs of the Little Blue River and is located about 15 miles south east of downtown Kansas City. With 176 wooded acres, Prairie Schooner feels like wilderness in the heart of the metropolitan area. Prairie Schooner features a dining hall, five permatent units, two buildings for troop use, a 40-foot rappel tower, archery range, swimming pool and zipline.

The dining hall at Prairie Schooner seats about 140. Owl’s Nest is a small cabin with a wrap around porch that sleeps 16 (on the floor) and has a kitchen, stone fireplace, bathroom, shower and laundry facilities. Dewitt Lodge is a hall with a concrete floor and sleeps 22 with similar features.

This wooded site has creeks, hills, and the Dr. Sam Wilson nature trail which circles the property.
