Become a Rappel Assistant!
Prerequisite: |
Must be 15 years of age |

Basic Training for Rappel and Zipline and Rappel Assistant On-site Training |
| Minimum Service Commitment: |
Three council activities in the spring and three council activities in the fall season |
| Annual Update: |
Must successfully complete annual skills evaluation each August. |
| Class Size: |
limited to 20 with a minimum of 4 |
Basic Training for Rappel and Zipline
In basic training, participants will learn knots, terms, “challenge of choice” philosophy, and other skills common to both rappel and zipline activities. Previous participation in rappel/zip activities is helpful (such as the Adult Challenge Activity Day).
THIS IS A TWO-EVENING COURSE.
MUST ATTEND BOTH DATES TO COMPLETE TRAINING.

Rappel Assistant
Learn hands-on how to set up and operate a rappel session and do a rescue from 40’ rappel tower. Bring a sack lunch, water and sunscreen.
