Science, Math, Engineering and Technology Guides (Plugged In!) |

Q: What does it mean to be a Plugged In! Guide? |
A: Guides facilitate Plugged In! Science programs for Girl Scouts. Girls have the opportunity to explore the wonders of the world through science, math, engineering and technology! Guides become experts at building confidence and helping girls to become comfortable and competent with technology. |

Q: What kinds of courses do Plugged In! Guides lead? |
A: Current programs include StarGazers, Computer Connections, Computer Insiders, Wet and Wild, Who’s There, Focus on Birds, Aerospace, Fractal Finders, Crack the Case and MicroFun!

Q: What steps are involved in becoming a Plugged In!Guide |
A: Anyone who would like to encourage girls to take an interest in science can be a guide! You don’t have to be a science expert. Guides complete one 12-hour Train the TRainer course and then have the opportunity to apprentice at programs of their choice until they are ready to take the lead. |

Q: What is required to maintain status as a Plugged In! Guide? |
A: Guides are asked to facilitate 4-6 programs per year. Programs are scheduled on weekends in the fall, winter and spring. |
