  Girls gain strength and ability as they climb across the rock wall. Better yet, they practice spotting techniques and learn about supporting each other. All of the necessary equipment and trained volunteer instructors will be provided for troops on the dates/locations listed in the table below.

Who: Registered Girl Scouts in grades K-12. A maximum of 12 girls will be placed in each time slot. Larger groups will be split into multiple time slots.

Required Dress: Tennis shoes (or other sturdy shoes) are required. Long hair should be pulled back and all loose or dangly clothing and accessories should be secured.

Supervision: Troop first aid certified person and leaders/adults in SafetyWise ratio must stay at the traverse wall with the troop while girls participate in this activity.

Cancellation Procedure: Sometimes we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances including weather, volunteer availability, and equipment malfunction. We will make every effort to contact your troop in the event of a cancellation.

Registration: Download an Outdoor Reservation: Program form. Follow instructions on form and submit completed form with $10 deposit to council headquarters. Reservations will be processed beginning December 1 for spring 2009.
