  Service Unit Camping is a group overnight experience planned and carried out by a group of girls and their advisors/leaders in one service unit or district. Girls from throughout the entire service unit must be invited to attend.
  • Service Unit Camping is available at all nine camps.
  • Due to high demand for troop camping and environmental impact, only one service unit event per season will be scheduled at Timberlake and Prairie Schooner.
  • Service units may book outdoor program facilities, dining halls and kitchens if they are available. Additional fees apply.
  • Service units are requested to carpool to reduce environmental impact of events.
  • Day use will be scheduled in primitive areas only. No fee applies.

  • Service Unit leaders complete an Outdoor Reservation: Service Unit Camping form and submit a $50 deposit to reserve campsites and/or buildings.
  • Mail or fax form to council representative.
  • Overnight fees are $2 per-person, per-night. Day use is $1 per person, primitive sites are available at no charge.
  • The $50 deposit is applied to the camp fee, and a minimum fee of $50 is required for each reservation (with the exception of primitive sites).
  • Full payment is due 4 weeks in advance of the event. (Cancellations after this date forfeit deposit and any fees collected.)
  • Reservations will be processed beginning May 1 for fall 2008. Service Unit camping processing will being November 1 2008 for spring of 2009.
